Dvorák: Carnival Overture Kristin
Link, conductor
Bartók: Rhapsody No. 2 with Heather
Katz, violin
Copland: Symphony No. 3
Celebrate life in music. Dvorák said his
ebullient work was meant to capture "nature, life, and love,"
while Bartók's dancing rhapsody is built on Romanian folk melodies and
celebrates the composer's heritage. Copland's monumental work, dubbed
"the Great American Symphony" at its premiere in 1946,
includes the popular "Fanfare for the Common Man."
