One has to swallow just a bit of skepticism to believe that John Corigliano set the words of seven classic Bob Dylan songs including “Mr. Tambourine Man,” “Blowin' in the Wind,” “All Along the Watchtower” and “Masters of War” to new music, without ever having heard the originals—but that's exactly how it happened. Prepare to have your mind blown! Bartók's erotic and powerfully driven score is set to a compelling and unusual ballet subject:  the serial search for mugging victims by a prostitute and three thugs is blown apart by the appearance of a mysterious stranger who refuses to die when he's being murdered.
