Some Notes From Eric
- For this concert, we will be using a chorus made up of
orchestra members to demonstrate songs that appear in the
Ives Second Symphony. Volunteers are welcome. Rehearsals
(probably two) are yet to be worked out. We could also
use a volunteer to research and find sheet music for
these songs. Some songs can be done in unison, some solo,
some parts, some maybe even as barbershop quartets.
- Anyone who doesn't think he/she will be used in the
Carmen orchestra may want to consider singing in the
chorus. Contact Nile Norton at 408-255-4927.
- The Redwood Symphony concerto competition will be on
Sunday, March 10, beginning at 10 a.m.. Please clear your
selection with Eric first.
- Orchestra members are encouraged to get tape copies of
our concerts, as it will help you to assess our (and
your) playing. Simply ask Eric what length of tape is
needed, and give him a blank for him to copy on to.
- We need a volunteer to help with the supertitles in
Carmen. Dan Swinehart has kindly agreed once again to put
the titles onto slides to project over the orchestra.
Another volunteer is needed to type the text (sung
portions only) into a computer file for Dan. [Editor's
note: Maybe I'll offer to do that
]
New Sound Clips
