The Schedule

See here.

Please remember to bring a music stand with you to each rehearsal. (Better to have too many than not enough!) Other items which can come in handy include stand lights, power strips, and extension cords.

Discount Ticket Report

A reminder that we now offer half-price tickets online to various of groups. To obtain the discount, patrons enter these codes online. Results from the October 3rd concert are now in:

A total of 10 discount tickets were sold. Our system doesn't yet correlate ticket sales with the discount codes, but our web logs indicate the following number of successful code entries.

Note that code entries do not correspond to tickets sales for two reasons: (1) a user may sign in but fail to purchase a ticket, and (2) a user may sign in and order more than one ticket.

Though no Stanford discounts were claimed, one Stanford ESL teacher e-mailed to say that she attended the concert (and enjoyed it very much) and heard a rumor of Stanford discounts. She asked how to get the discount in the future and promised to invite her students to attend.

As you know, it's more fun to play to a full house. And the marketing committee has decided that that we should attempt bring folks in at discount prices for a while, as an audience building 'investment' for the future. So please continue (or start!) to pass along the discount codes to any eligible folks who might be likely to attend our concerts.

A Special Thank You

A special THANK YOU to all the folks who helped with our pre- and post-concert chores.

It takes a lot of behind-the-scenes work to put on our concerts, so we need all the help we can get. Even without the special birthday events, we usually have to move an entire truckload of percussion equipment which take hours to load and unload, lots of lobby supplies, parking signs, and so on. The risers which we borrow from the College of San Mateo are cumbersome to deal with, but an hour or so of hard work sure beats paying the $15,000 to $50,000 price for our own!
