We need help with the following activities:

Publicity--media notification and follow-up.
Special Events--some targets have already been identified. This is going to be a fun one!
Master Class--help David Silon (violin) contact music teachers, schools, etc.
House Planning--includes setting up the venue for the event, e.g. flowers, layout of the entry-way. Victor Lee (percussion) did this last year.
Usher Coordinator--recruit and manage the usher “staff.” Free admission for those whoparticipate.
Reception Planning--post-concert reception for Eugene.
Press Kit--someone to help a designated person put the Press Kit together.

That's all for now. There will be more fun stuff to do, so please come talk to me if you are interested in participating!

Mailing-List Volunteer Needed

As previously advertised, we need a volunteer to take over mailing-list duties from Dorothy Norman. Please see Claudia Herzog (violin) or Peter Stahl (oboe) if you're interested.

Audio Tapes

We're looking for someone who could make high quality duplicates of the audio tapes from our concerts for those orchestra members and friends or the orchestra who want them. Most community music groups seem to have at least one person who loves to show off his/her audio equipment. (e.g. "Do you want your tape with Dolby b or c? Normal, metal, or CrO₂ tape? Printed labels or hand-drawn calligraphy?")

New Webmaster

George Yefchak (oboe) is taking over as webmaster for the rws web site. Let's thank our previous webmaster Steve Auerbach for getting the site off to a great start! And thanks to Global Center for continuing to host our site at no charge!
