Your duties will include passing out and keeping track of who has parts, collecting parts after concerts, and mailing them back to the publisher. Very little time is required to fulfill the job's duties. (No bow marking required.)
Please see Eric if you're interested.
Your friends and family can now purchase our CDs now online from Amazon.com. Thanks to Doug Tomm for setting this up!
From the Amazon site (www.amazon.com), search for "Redwood Symphony" under their Classical Music category to find our Stravinsky CDs, and under Popular Music to find our two recent CDs. (Hopefully this can be corrected soon.)

C'mon up to Cañada College on Sunday afternoon, January 31, for some of the baddest, crudest, rootin'-tootin'est chamber music west of the Pecos. Members of your very own all-volunteer, amateur, we-don't-pay-no-one symphonic orchestree will be blastin' 'til the sun goes down or they run out of music to play, whichever comes first. Featured numbers include:
Debussy: harp, viola, flute, whatever
Wagner: so slow it'll put you to sleep
something with a horn in it (watch those puddles)
Vile: Mackie Messer
This is the musicians' own concert, so y'all better show up, else'ns there won't be too many folks in the audience. Hee Haw is on The Nashville Network that afternoon, y'know, so we need a special push to git people to come. And buy lots of cookies, too.
[Ed. Note: Percussionist "Ethel Sprat" appears more commonly as oboist Peter Stahl. The real program listing appears below.]
The correct translation of Ethel Sprat's advertisement (see above) is:
- Wagner Siegfried Idyll
Kristin Link, conductor- Debussy Sonata for flute, viola, and harp
Michelle Davis, Doug Tomm, and Suki Russack- Brahms Trio for horn, violin, and piano
Rachel Harvey, Heather Katz, and Daniel Glover- Weill Little Threepenny Music
Eric Kujawsky, conductor
Our orchestra manager Floyd Carter (violin) would like to update our members phone list. He will leave the current list on Eric's table for the next few rehearals. Please check to make sure your name & number(s) are correct.
I'm looking to form a trio or quartet. I play violin (and live in Sunnyvale), and there's an interested flute player who was recommended to me who lives in San Francisco. We'd like to meet 2 or 3 times a month, preferably on the weekends and we both have cars. If we get through enough repertoire we'd like to play occasional gigs.
Please e-mail me (dcoluzzi@ynn.com or dalrae.coluzzi@efi.com) or call me (408-617-1809) if you're interested.
