Notepad is the newsletter for Redwood Symphony members. The goal for the newsletter is to save time at rehearsals by cutting down on the number of announcements we have to make each week. Notepad has also been a convenient place to put rehearsal schedules, order forms, and other material that must be distributed from time to time.
A volunteer organization's newsletter is only as good as the articles submitted. So if you have some news of interest to our membership, please don't hesitate to write it down and send it to us!
Notepad is typically distributed every two to four rehearsals (but never at a sectional rehearsal), depending on the articles received and the editor's schedule.
This issue, Volume 5 No. 1a, is a revision of Vol. 5 No. 1 which was not distributed due to the power outage on August 27.

...then think again! You have committed to playing both recording sessions for this set as well as the concert. Please check your calendars to make sure you have blocked off all day 9/25 and 10/2. Your colleagues will thank you.

The Hewlett-Packard Symphony Orchestra is in need of horn and viola players. Most rehearsals are Monday's at either 12:00 noon or 6:30 P.M. Concerts are Mondays and Fridays also noon and 6:30 P.M.
