I regret to inform you that I have accepted Barbara Mortkowitz's resignation from her position as our Executive Director. Barbara cited that she had too many additional distractions in her life that were impeding her from doing a quality job in the way that she wanted. Barbara loves the orchestra and wants to remain active as a volunteer. I thank Barbara for her contributions.
We are seeking a replacement. We will be contacting a variety of sources and will be seeking to fill the position. In the interim, we'll be "rounding up the usual suspects" to help keep us going. Your help is needed and appreciated.
If you have any further questions or leads, please find me in the viola section and let's talk.

An informal vote was taken at last week's rehearsal which indicated some discomfort with the present number of concerts/rehearsals. As a result, next season will be configured so that there is some time off after each set, though not necessarily fewer concerts. More details to follow.
