Festival Volunteers Needed

-- Sally Fundakowski

We will be hosting a table at the Mountain View Art & Wine Festival, which is coming up September 6– 7. The idea is to promote Redwood Symphony by getting our name out there, showing and hopefully playing some of our CDs, and giving out information on this

year's season. This is our second appearance at one of these fairs; we were at the Los Altos one in July as well. We'll be doing a couple of new things for this one. First, we'll have a stack of tickets to our next concert which booth staffers can give to fair goers at their discretion. Second, anyone signing up for our mailing list will be entered into a drawing to win a season pass. Third, if we have any orchestra members who would like to play duets, etc. during their shift, that would be a terrific attention getter.

What we need from you:

Please let me if you can take a two hour (or longer) time slot for Saturday, September 6 and/or Sunday, September 7, and indicate which times will work best for you. I will also have sign-up sheets available at the rehearsals before the fair. I will then send out a master schedule, along with more instructions.

It should be fun!

Orchestra Party

Once again, Ann Walker has graciously agreed to host a Season Opener party for orchestra members and their families. Volunteers and orchestra supporters are also welcome; this is your chance to help thank these people for all the help they provide to the organization.

Ann will distribute invitations during rehearsal. The invitation is also available on our web site, but only if you know the secret password!

(The security precautions have been taken in order to avoid making Ann Walker's home address and phone number available to the public.)

Please RSVP using the form on our web site. You'll be asked for your name, the number of people in your party, and what you're bringing to share (salad, vegetable, or dessert). Or you can call Ann directly; her phone number is on the invitation.
